Vera members enjoyed a really great day out at the Hampton Court Palace flower show.
Forty three members and guests enjoyed a very well organised day, starting with a coach trip to Hampton Court, arriving at the final destination via a water taxi along the Thames.
The weather was fantastic which we were all very relieved about given the very wet June this year, and we had plenty of time to wander around the show admiring the show gardens and spending too much on plants and other gardening goodies.
There were some amazing vegetables on display this year, probably more than ever before which just goes to prove that the RHS has recognised growing your own has really become the thing to do at the moment. Well, we could have told them that years ago!
Many thanks to the committee and especially Dorothy for organsing such a grand day out.
